Patterned after pre-war Gibson RB-75s, "vintage" Gold Star GF-85 banjos made between 1976- 1986 (like this one) are highly sought after. Their production was overseen by Richard Keldsen of Saga Music who had an original pre-war Gibson RB-75 and that banjo was used to formulate Gold Star's tone ring and the banjo's dimensions. The Gold Star's tone ring includes a longer skirt, just like the original pre-wars. This banjo is in excellent, like-new condition, no fret-wear, straight neck, and wonderful action. Professionally inspected and set up here at our shop, a very affordable better-quality Bluegrass banjo in like-new condition.
