This banjo was developed by Bela Fleck (banjo player extraordinaire) , Wayne Rogers (Founder and CEO of Gold Tone), and Marc Horowitz (Bela's early banjo instructor and long-time banjo consultant to Gold Tone).  It is modeled after Bela's 1937 Gibson RB-75 conversion that he has played since 1982.  This banjo has a wider, radiused fretboard and heavier brass-button tuners for more heft, thus providing more overall resonance.  It comes in weighing just shy of 12 pounds and includes a no-hole bell brass flathead tone ring, similar to its pre-war cousins.  When referring to tone, many folks may not realize the importance of the tailpiece on a banjo  - and this one was made by Prucha.  An excellent upgrade that comes standard on this model.

This banjo is in excellent condition and was recently inspected here in our repair shop.
